The Beginning

Inspired by a friend who does a movie blog, I have decided to start my own. My blog, however, will not be about movies, but instead will just be about what ever is on my mind. Everything from movies, books, television, current and national events, and everything in between. I have a lot to say and figured why not! Although I am a very busy student, who will be done in about 1.5 years I will try to keep up on this as much as possible. Thank you to anyone and everyone who is reading this and keep it up, I promise entertainment! Also feel free to state your opinion as well....that will make it even better!!

This is a creative non-fiction piece I am turning in for class and I promised some creative writing to be posted soon, so I thought I'd start with this one... She felt sick. It was third period and she asked to be excused to use the bathroom. 11:00 am... In the bathroom, she throws up, yet it did not make her feel better. Thank goodness it was a half day of school. Once she walked to the elementary school to pick her sister up, she could finally go home and rest…something  didn't  feel right though. What was this feeling?

Worth It?

     Driving home from MI tonight, I became inspired by Taylor Swift's lyrics from her record Folklore . I haven't been inspired to write much in years. I wrote a Haiku yesterday in three minutes and it felt great. Poetry usually isn't my thing, but some of my creative writing students asked if I'd be their advisor for Poetry Club and I am delighted that I agreed! For the first time in nearly six years, I'm writing. Anyway, here is an erasure poem of the song "This is Me Trying" by Taylor Swift.     Worth It? Is Murder Justifiable?

Well, I have waited long enough to discuss this topic.  First, I want to be very clear that I am glad to be an American and I would not want to live anywhere else.  Secondly, I want everyone to understand that what I am about to say is in general and not directed at anyone in particular.  With all that being said, here it goes.....
